But with that said, why would the number of clean t-shirts be a factor?
Remember your goal is to hit the other tribe while avoiding being hit.
We hit the other tribe more than they hit us. We avoided being hit by the other tribe more than they avoided being hit by us.
Including the number of clean t-shirts completely neutralizes the entire point of the game. It skews the results. You're essentially penalizing us for multiple hits.

Yes you did hit them more but you did not avoid being hit more. Morgan went 6 rounds with NONE of their players being hit
While Drake had some of the their players not hit each round, more of Morgan's players walked away having avoided being hit when you add up all the rounds.
If you got hit at least once, you did not successfully avoid being hit.

Morgan got hit 36 times while we got hit 35 times. We avoided getting hit more. Like I said in my post, you're penalizing us for multiple hits on 1 person.
You were not penalized for hitting the same people - you got points for every hit
Just because we got points for every hit doesn't mean we weren't penalized. You rewarded "clean t-shirts" which completely devalues the points you gave us for multiple hits on 1 person.
Your two guidelines for receiving points conflict with each other.
You only got a point for avoiding being hit if you actually were not hit by ANYONE.
This wasn't stated in the rules.
"Avoided getting hit" and "avoided getting hit by anyone" are very different approaches.
Notice that both tribes did understand that hitting their own members was a bad idea.
